Announcement Re: COVID-19

To the Patients of Hinsdale Dental,

Upon recommendation by the ISDS and Illinois State government, Hinsdale Dental will reopen for routine patient care beginning Tuesday, May 26th.

As we enter our busiest season with an additional two month back log of routine appointments and deferred treatment, we are seeing a large influx of appointment requests. In an effort to accommodate as many appointments as possible, we have extended our hours and have staff members working overtime, while still adhering to new guidelines regarding patient capacity and maintaining up to date infection control procedures.

We encourage patients to take advantage of our “cancellation lists” as we anticipate pulling from those regularly. In order to encourage patients to continue arriving on time, we are instituting a new $50 fee for any failed appointments as well as for appointments where the patient arrives more than 15 minutes late. We understand that situations arise, however, it is imperative that we are given ample time to fill any appointment openings.

Infection Control

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Any guidance given by these organizations will be reflected in changes you will see around the office. We’ve made these changes to protect our patients and staff. For example, our staff will be wearing an increased amount of PPE during all procedures. We have also installed additional equipment in all operatories to aid in controlling aerosol contamination.

In addition, we are going to request that all patients comply with IDPH recommendations and wear a facemask when entering the building. In order to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at one time, we appreciate you showing up as close to your actual appointment time as possible. We also request that patients arrive unaccompanied, when possible, to appointments.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to ensure patient safety. To schedule an appointment, please call our office at 630-323-5200.

Thank you,
