Dr. Autumn Peterson brings over a decade of experience in the dental field, beginning her career as a dental assistant and later working as a licensed dental hygienist. Raised near Minocqua in Northern Wisconsin, she grew up helping at her family’s small resort and restaurant, where she learned the value of hard work, adaptability, and building meaningful relationships—principles that continue to shape her patient-centered approach today.
Education & Advanced Clinical Training
Her dedication to helping others led her to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University, where she graduated in the top 12% of her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society recognizing academic excellence and character. During her training, Dr. Peterson treated patients across a wide range of specialties—including endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and periodontics—thanks to Midwestern’s unique model that allows DMD candidates to handle advanced cases typically reserved for residents. This hands-on experience honed her skills in complex procedures and reinforced her commitment to delivering comprehensive, compassionate care.
A Patient-First Philosophy
As someone who spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a child, Dr. Peterson understands how vulnerable the experience can feel. That perspective drives her to approach every patient with empathy, clear communication, and a calming presence. She is passionate about building lasting relationships and creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and confident in their care.
Life Outside the Office
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Peterson loves spending time with her husband, Phil, their son, Jack, and their golden retriever, Archie. She enjoys making the most of every season—waterskiing in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, and sneaking in a round of golf when possible. A former horseback rider who still loves the outdoors, Dr. Peterson also enjoys trying new recipes, exploring new restaurants, and taking family walks with Archie leading the way.
